The Good Neighbor Information and Help Center invites the community to an upcoming event, “A Senior Affair: More about Keeping a Healthy Heart” to be held Sept. 23, from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Appomattox Inn and Suites. Featured speaker is Dr. Michael Valentine, practicing cardiologist with CMG Stroobants Cardiovascular Center and board certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. Dr. Valentine is currently Past President of the American College of Cardiology. Mrs. Linda Peters, certified Arthritis Exercise Instructor will provide information on healthy exercise for seniors. Local and regional health care service providers and organizations will attend. Participants will have the opportunity to talk individually with vendors. Free blood pressure screening will also be available. A registration fee of $10 per person includes lunch. Pre-registration is required by calling the Good Neighbor Information and Help Center at (434) 664-2121 to leave a message with your name and phone number or by mailing a check in the amount of ten dollars per person payable to Grace Hills Baptist Church/Good Neighbor Information and Help Center Senior Fair to J.
