The Court Report: Fourth probation violation lands 4-year sentence

Dustin Wayne Phelps, 30, of Madison Heights, pleaded guilty Aug. 29 to two felony probation violations and was sentenced to serve a four-year jail term after a revocation of suspended time with another two years resuspended.

In 2009, Phelps was convicted in Appomattox County of grand larceny, breaking and entering, and possession of burglary tools. The latest probation violations were his fourth on record since that time.
