The Town of Pamplin City is no stranger to seeing film crews. Last year, the small town was the subject of the documentary “Hope’s City” by Ricardo Fleshman. This year, the small town has its sights set on HGTV.

During the town council meeting, Sarah Hamlett, the town’s vice-mayor, said Pamplin applied for HGTV’s “Home Town Takeover” — a new series hosted by Ben and Erin Napier, renovation professionals.

Hamlett said Pamplin’s Main Street area was showcased in the application she sent to HGTV. Applicants were required to send a written submission, five photographs and a video.
