Two suspects in the April 2018 killing of then 22-year-old Lisa Simone Henderson of Appomattox are scheduled to appear in court.

Marquie Brandon Williams, 26, of Lynchburg, is reportedly scheduled for a trial that begins Oct. 7 in Campbell County Circuit Court. The trial is expected to last a week.

Felix Jerome Jefferson III, 22, of Lynchburg, is set to appear in court for a Nov. 18 hearing at 2 p.m. Online court records describe the hearing as “To Be Set,” which might mean a trial date could be scheduled for a later date at the hearing unless another matter takes precedence.

Williams is charged with second-degree murder, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and grand larceny. He was arrested July 3, 2018, in connection with the death of Henderson.

Jefferson is charged with murder, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, accessory after the fact of a homicide, accessory after the fact in commission of a felony, and grand larceny. He was arrested April 10, 2018, the same day Henderson’s body was found in a wooded area of Concord after she went missing five days earlier.
