An 2003 Infinity SUV with a child on board drove off the gravel portion of Cub Creek Road in Appomattox County and traveled down a hill into a wooded area around 7 p.m. today.
The incident occurred on the 1500 block of Cub Creek Road in the Falling River area of Appomattox County just after passing State Route 675 going southbound.
According to the Virginia State Police, there were three adults and one child in the vehicle at the time, but there were no injuries. They were able to exit the vehicle on their own.
The trooper on the scene said that the vehicle was traveling too fast when the gravel caused the vehicle to go off-road. No charges were planned in the incident.
Also responding were the Appomattox County Sheriff's Office and Appomattox County Fire Department with Engine 3 and Crash Rescue 8. EMS was called off due to there being no injuries.
