Bee Line Towing working at scene of wreck

Bee Line Towing works on pickup truck this morning after a single-vehicle wreck on U.S. Route 460 across from Craneworks Inc. in the Evergreen area.

In Wednesday's fatal wreck in the Evergreen area, Virginia State Police identified the driver as Aneal D. Walker, 19, of Pamplin, and the passenger as Brandon J. Smith, 30, of Cumberland, Virginia.
 
They both died at the scene.
 
A Ford dual-wheel pickup truck was traveling west on Route 460 when it ran off the left side of the highway and struck the guardrail. The vehicle continued up the embankment, overturned onto its side and slid into a tree.

Two people died this morning after a single-vehicle wreck on U.S. Route 460 across from Craneworks Inc. in the Evergreen area.

At 6:53 a.m. today, Virginia State Police responded to the crash, which occurred in the 15,700 block of Richmond Highway.

A pickup truck was traveling west on Route 460 when it ran off the left side of the highway and struck the guardrail. The vehicle continued up the embankment, overturned onto its side and slid into a tree.

The driver and passenger died at the scene.

The Virginia State Police Appomattox Division Crash Reconstruction Team is assisting with the ongoing crash investigation.
