On April 18, Appomattox Middle School art students traveled to Charlottesville with Ms. Henzi and had the experience of meeting three artists who work out of McGuffey Art Center.

Students earned this trip by applying with a short essay explaining what they were hoping to learn and why they deserved to go. Thirty students were chosen to attend the trip.

Two of the artists presented the school with gifts to bring back. Jane Angelhart donated a DVD to the school and Rob Anderson gave an educational coloring book in which he drew all of the illustrations.
