The Appomattox County Sheriff’s Office stated on Tuesday that they received a complaint June 8 in reference to a box truck containing home construction tools that were stolen from a construction site on Piney Mountain Road.

The truck was identified as a 1994 white Ford box truck. It was found on fire in Buckingham County, and the tools had been removed from the truck. These tools have identifying marks on them if found.

In addition to the truck complaint, the Appomattox County Sheriff’s Office has taken several larceny complaints throughout the county from citizens who were missing items from their property. These items include pressure washers, generators, chain saws, tools, dirt bikes and four wheelers.

The sheriff’s office believes all of these complaints to be related.
