Appomattox Sheriff's Office holds School Supplies Giveaway

This morning at 10 a.m. the Appomattox County Sheriff's Office hosted a School Supplies Giveaway at the Appomattox Elementary School for K-12 students located within the county.

Parents drove up to the school's curbside in the drive-thru event and received a blue bag containing various school supples such as a notepad, colored pencils, scissors, and more. Three-hundred bags of supplies were made available thanks to various donors.

The event was held in place of the annual Sheriff's Night Out, which had been canceled earlier due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
