A vehicle struck a tree Thursday in Gladstone that resulted in an injury.
According to the Virginia State Police, a woman was driving a 2004 Nissan Ultima at approximately 1:30 p.m. Thursday when the vehicle ran off a road off Route 26, overcorrected, and came back across the road and hit a tree.
She was able to exit the vehicle, but a possible leg fracture was mentioned during emergency communication, and she was taken to the hospital. The type of injury was not confirmed to the trooper who responded to the incident as X-rays were not completed at the time he visited.
The vehicle was totaled as a result of the accident.
The driver was charged with failure to keep right of center of highway.
