Jordan Javon Lee, 18, of Appomattox, received a six-month sentence July 23 after pleading guilty to a felony charge of grand larceny.
Two other charges brought against Lee, felony abduction and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony (first offense), were placed on deferred disposition until July 22, 2021, as part of a plea agreement. Lee pleaded guilty to those charges as well.
Appomattox County Circuit Court Judge Andy Nelson agreed to delay final rulings on the latter charges while ordering Lee to remain on terms of bond, which include good behavior and abstaining from alcohol and illegal drug use.
If Lee abides by all conditions, the firearm charge will be reduced to a charge of brandishing a firearm, and sentencing will be decided at that time. Otherwise, if conditions are not met, the original firearm charge carries a mandatory three-year prison sentence.
