The Appomattox Court House National Historical Park, along with the Appomattox 1865 Foundation and park visitors, celebrated their tavern’s 200th birthday at their annual Heritage Day festivities Saturday.

At 3:15 p.m., the park staff, guests, and friends of the park gathered in front of the Clover Hill Tavern building to recite numerous toasts that were given at the tavern back in 1846.
