At the Appomattox County School Board meeting Thursday, July 23, results of the Student Climate Survey were shared by Appomattox County High School (ACHS) Principal Poldi Moreno.

The results of the survey, required by the Virginia Department of Education (ED), show a favorable student-body opinion of the county’s high school as compared with the statewide average in other school districts.

In a March 31, 2016, press release, the ED stated the purpose of the survey is “making school climate improvements to help foster and sustain safe and supportive environments that are conducive to learning for all students.”
