Driver reported safe in Horseshoe Road accident

This evening at approximately 5:47 p.m. a single-vehicle accident occurred at the 3000 block of Horseshoe Road (Route 656) in Appomattox County. 

A white GMC Sierra 4x4 pickup truck had rolled over onto the driver's side pointing north in the grass at the edge of the southbound lane. 

According to a member of the Delta Response Team ambulance crew, the driver of the vehicle was not injured and will not be transported to a hospital. There were no passengers in the truck. 

Virginia State Police had not yet arrived at the accident scene, so no official identification of the driver has been made as of this report. Updates will be provided if made available. 

Also arriving at the scene were Appomattox County Rescue Squad Utility 9 and Appomattox Volunteer Fire Department Engine 3, Crash 9, and Crash Rescue 8.
