At any given moment, a trip to Clover Hill Village may introduce visitors to the “behind the scenes” maintenance that goes into the upkeep of the village’s various historical buildings.
In an effort to preserve the buildings, the Appomattox County Historical Society has worked out a contract with Southern Yankee Renovations to tackle some of the renovations work — including, but not limited to, redoing cabin chinking and log replacement.
But Drew Skiff, owner of the renovations company, isn’t the only one milling about, sprucing up the place. He was quick to point out that historical society volunteers also were out and about working on the buildings and property.
