One injured in 460 West Appomattox crash

Shortly after 3 p.m. a two-vehicle accident occurred on U.S. Route 460 West at the Police Tower Road intersection. 

Appomattox Fire Chief Jonathan Garrett said that two people were involved in the accident, one of which was injured and transported to the hospital by ambulance. Garrett said the injury did not appear to be of a serious nature. 

The vehicles involved were a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck and a Totoya Camry. Traffic on U.S. Route 460 West was delayed while emergency crews worked to clear the roadway.  

No other information was provided by Virginia State Police. 

Arriving at the scene were two Appomattox County Rescue Squad ambulances, Appomattox Volunteer Fire Department Engine 3, the Appomattox County Sheriff's Office and Virginia State Police.
