The Times Virginian newspaper is proud to announce Clay Smith as it’s new account representative.
A native of Lexington, Virginia, Smith brings 20 years of proven sales success in commercial, government and in-home closings, as well as sales via media to the position.
He enjoys the art of closing and mentoring others to become their best and top level producers.
“I have almost 17 years of experience of working with businesses to help them grow,” said Smith. “Along with the business, I will look to form relationships by being dependable, available and transparent.”
Smith said he is very “eager and excited” to serve Appomattox County and looks forward to being here for a long time.
Former account representative of the Times Virginian, Tommie Jo Walker, holds high praise for Smith.
“I am really excited for Clay (Smith) to be here full-time. He will give customers the attention they deserve and build relationships,” said Walker. “I think he will do wonderful for Appomattox.”
Walker will now take a promoted role with fellow Womack Publishing newspaper, The Smith Mountain Eagle.
She said she is thankful for her time with the Times Virginian and all of the experiences that came along with it, but is excited to serve the Smith Mountain Lake area.
