The Appomattox County School Board approved a 2020/21 budget in a recent meeting.

The approved amount of $25,242,676 was sent forward to the Appomattox County Board of Supervisors for review. The amount is similar to the 2019/20 school budget, according to Annette Bennett, superintendent of Appomattox County Public Schools (ACPS).

“Our school board has adopted a budget based on the new revised governor’s numbers that we’ve been given,” Bennett said. “So, that has been sent across the street to the Board of Supervisors. We’re requesting the same amount of money we got last year from the locality; we’re not requesting an increase. Hopefully our numbers will stay consistent.”
