John Hinkle has successfully submitted all required paperwork and petitions to receive first-place on the general election ballot in November for the Appomattox County Board of Supervisors (Falling River District), according to his campaign.
Hinkle is seeking election as supervisor of the Falling River District in order to “tackle the massive county debt,” defend Second Amendment rights locally, protect private property rights, and help make Appomattox County friendlier to small business growth.
Hinkle has been an Appomattox resident since 2011 after retiring from the Michigan Army National Guard and Title 10 Active Duty with the National Guard Bureau after 28 years of service.
Since moving to Appomattox County, Hinkle has been an active member of various local nonprofits and organizations, including being a member of American Legion Post 104, Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) John Lynch Lodge #34, and serving as chairman of the Appomattox County Republican Committee from 2015 to 2018.
Hinkle and his wife are members of Evergreen Baptist Church.
