Dana Smith is familiar with speaking in public, having begun her post-collegiate life working as a television news reporter. That love for public speaking has helped her to carve out what she describes as an “unconventional path” to her current position as Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney at the Appomattox County Courthouse.
Smith primarily handles cases in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, with occasional appearances in General District Court. She assumed the part-time position in October 2018 after living for several years with her husband and children in the western United States.
