John Redding, president of the Appomattox County Chamber of Commerce, recently announced his resignation, effective Sept. 1. He believes it’s time to pass on the role to someone else who can take the efforts of the chamber to the next level.
Redding first joined the chamber in 2008. He said he joined to help Bill Burke with the Appomattox Friday Cheerz events. In early 2012, Redding joined the chamber’s board.
By 2015, Redding was asked by Spencer Coleman, the chamber’s president at the time, to take his place. Redding has held the position since 2015.
