Better Connections with Horses

Most of us have horses or other animals because we want to share our life with them. We have a desire to share our life with other species. We are curious about how they think and what makes them do what they do, and how can we get them to understand what we would like them to do (and not do). It’s pretty important with a 1,200-pound animal that both of you understand each other. Mostly, people just need to stop, slow down and be a little less in a hurry all of the time and observe more.

What’s going on between you and the horse when you are together?  Are you able to disconnect from the swarm of thoughts assaulting your mind and really be present, calm and connected with the horse to read his feedback on how things are going from his point of view?
