Last Friday night, the town, county and the Courtland Foundation hosted those that had contributed to the creation of Courtland Festival Park at a very nice dedication ceremony. A plaque recognizing those that contributed was unveiled and some very tasty food was shared. The fact that it had fallen on the hottest day of the year did not wilt the fellowship.
Courtland Festival Park is a welcomed addition to our town. I have noticed that the park is gradually growing in its usage and should continue to do so as the trees mature and as people incorporate its availability into their mentality. Having this improved venue adds to our quality of life on a daily basis and makes the community more attractive to potential new residents and businesses.
