Your local library is a great place to start for your October fun!

We have lots of scary, adventure, mystery, mayhem, legends and mythology books to set the perfect background for some Halloween reading. We also have some great horror movies, from classics, kids, zombies, monsters and more on DVD and Blu-ray to scare the pants off you!

Don’t forget about all our fall harvest programs we have planned, from family fun night to an adult movie night. We have fliers and brochures in the library, and lots of postings on our Facebook account, so be sure to stop by or look for us on the web.

October brings a whole lot of holidays and observances; here are just a few to celebrate: Adopt A Shelter Dog Month, American Cheese Month, Apple Month, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Bake & Decorate, Chili and Cookbook Month, Teen Read Week, Taco Day, National Pasta Day, Howl at the Moon Night, Black Cat Day, Candy Corn Day, and Halloween.

If you would like to see a larger list of monthly, weekly or daily observances, you can visit the following website: https://www.brownielocks.com.
