For the weekly Wednesday Story & Craft Time (Jan. 8), library volunteer Doris read the book “Snowmen At Work” by Caralyn Buehner and illustrated by Mark Buehner. A young boy wakes up to fallen snow, but he discovers that the walkways have already been shoveled. He wonders if his snowman along with a snow crew had cleared them away. As the book was read, we found out that snowmen have lots of jobs while we sleep. We did a color by number, word search, and assembled a cut and paste project--all featuring snowmen. We would like to thank ACLA (Appomattox County Library Association) for providing the refreshments.

In observance of Lee-Jackson Day and Martin Luther King Jr. Day the Library will be closed on Friday, Jan. 17 and Monday, Jan. 20. We will be open on Saturday, Jan. 18 for our normal business hours of 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
