The Amherst Lancers volleyball team won the rematch against Appomattox on Monday night in a three-set sweep (25-19, 25-23, 25-20) on the Raiders’ home court, just 11 days after being swept on their own court by Appomattox.

It was the Raiders’ first loss of the season, bringing their record to 4-1 with a Tuesday night bounce-back three-set win at Halifax (25-20, 25-20, 25-18).

Halifax falls to 0-4 on the season.

Appomattox will travel to Randolph-Henry on Monday. The next home game will be Sept. 19 versus Altavista. Start times are 5:30 p.m. for junior varsity, followed by varsity.
