Raiders baseball gets into the swing of things

Appomattox County varsity baseball won back-to-back blowout victories in their last two games, improving their record on the year to 5-4.

Appomattox defeated Nelson County handily on Monday night in an 11-1 victory.

Raiders pitcher Dennis Ward pitched all six innings on Monday night, with 14 strikeouts and only one run allowed.

Hitters from Appomattox led the way against William Campbell in an 11-5 win on April 10. 

Appomattox was led in hits by Tristan Lovins against William Campbell, and got three RBIs from Matthew Napier.
