Appomattox volleyball blasts Halifax County in season opener

If tonight's season-opening match was any indication of things to come, the Appomattox Raiders volleyball program appears to have a mighty fine team on their hands in 2019.

Appomattox started off the regular season at home with a three-set sweep (25-19, 25-12, 25-6) of the Halifax County Comets, a Class 5 school. Appomattox competes at a lower level in Class 2.

Halifax made a brief comeback run in the first set, but the Raiders had clear sailing from there on out.
