Appomattox Raiders varsity girls basketball coach Tracie Hayes is asking Raider fans to help send the girls varsity and junior varsity basketball players to summer basketball camp and play in a summer league through a March Madness fundraiser.

Along with a $20 donation, fill out a March Madness NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament bracket and compete against others to see who can the most predictions correct.

Official NCAA tournament brackets can be clipped out of the Times Virginian newspaper (see below) or printed from NCAA.com.

The bracket and donation (check or cash) must be returned to the Appomattox County High School’s main office by Thursday at 10 a.m.

The Raiders girls basketball program will receive 50 percent of the donation amount. The winning bracket will receive 40 percent and the second place bracket will receive 10 percent.

In case of a tie, be sure to fill out the predicted total points in the championship game. Also, write a contact email for notification purposes.

“Thank you in advance for helping out a great group of young people with your donation,” Hayes said.

The girls basketball camp will be held June 21-23 at Liberty University.
