Town, county officials praise festival

A number of town and county officials spoke highly of the 2021 Historic Appomattox Railroad Festival’s success and the hard work of the festival committee.

Appomattox Mayor Richard Conner, Town Manager Gary Shanaberger, and Town council members Mary Lou Spiggle and Claudia Puckette all voiced their approbation during the Town Council’s October meeting.

Likewise, at the Appomattox County Board of Supervisors meeting Monday, Supervisor William Hogan remarked, “I’d like to thank Ms. (Susan) Adams and the entire Railroad Festival Committee. Ms. Adams does a whole lot of things behind the scenes that are not really a part of her job. A lot of people may not realize how dedicated she is to the community.”
