With the start of the 2022-23 school year in Appomattox County now underway, Raiders athletic events are soon to follow.
Appomattox County High School has made several new varsity head coaching hires, two for basketball and one for cheerleading.
Ashley Christian has been hired to coach the cheerleading squad, which performs during football and basketball seasons.
Emily Hill has been hired as head coach of the varsity girls basketball program.
Trumaine Raschad Kelso has been hired as head coach of the varsity boys basketball program.
Basketball regular season games begin in December.
The Times Virginian will feature the new coaches in the upcoming weeks.
