Communications & Marketing Specialist

Reporting to the Director of Communications and Marketing, the specialist provides

daily strategic and tactical support for communications and marketing initiatives of the College, including social and digital media, public relations, and content creation across a variety of mediums. The multifaceted nature of the department's efforts requires that the specialist possess exceptional writing and editing abilities, a creative mindset, a passion for storytelling, demonstrated communications and marketing experience and instincts, and a self-motivated attitude.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or a related field with 1 to 3 years' experience in communications, marketing, digital/social media, or a related role is desired. Ability to occasionally work a non-traditional schedule, including nights and weekends. Successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines. Excellent written, oral and digital communication skills, with an eye for compelling narratives. Capability to independently and creatively showcase the many facets of the College through a variety of mediums. Strong understanding of English grammar, AP style, and general branding guidelines. Preferred qualifications include photography, videography, video-editing, familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, and previous media relations experience.
