Members of the Appomattox Garden Club once again continued a tradition that has been ongoing since 1996 — creating Christmas decorations for the historical buildings at Appomattox Court House National Historical Park.
The handmade Christmas decorations are made in the appearance and style of the 20th century and Civil War era, and are placed on each building. Materials such as pine cones, tobacco, lemons, cotton, and more are used in the process.
The public is welcome to visit Appomattox Court House National Historical Park and view the decorations during regular business hours, daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 434-352-8987 for information on holiday hours and closings.
