Trump Bus and 5th Congressional District candidate John McGuire III visit Appomattox

Republican Virginia Senator John McGuire III, who is running for the 5th District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, visited Appomattox this afternoon on the Trump Bus.

The bus parked outside of the Appomattox Voter Registrar Office on Virginia Avenue, where McGuire met and spoke with locals and supporters at the site from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

McGuire said the Trump Bus is owned by a private individual in Campbell County and travels to various campaign events for Republican Presidential nominee Donald J. Trump. McGuire explained that he was a "special guest" on today's bus stop in Appomattox.

McGuire is running against Democrat Gloria Witt in the 5th District.

"When you drive into Appomattox County, you see a sign that says this is where our country came together...We need to come together as a people," McGuire said.
