The Lynchburg Branch of the NAACP-Unit 7088, will host its Annual Freedom Fund Banquet on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Lynchburg Grand Hotel, 601 Main Street. The keynote speaker is Kishau Smith Rogers.
Ms. Rogers grew up in the Daniels Hill neighborhood in Lynchburg and is an E. C. Glass
High School and Virginia Commonwealth University graduate. Based in Virginia and New York, she is a technology entrepreneur and is the founder and CEO of her technology-based company Time Study. Her work has been featured in leading publications including Forbes, the Wall Street Journal, Entrepreneur and BlackEnterprise.
In addition to the keynote speaker, the organization will recognize seven individuals and organizations for their services to the NAACP and/or the community.
