The Appomattox County Sheriff's Office reports that a series of vehicle break-ins occurred at some time overnight Saturday in the area of Dogwood Street and Plant Drive.
In a telephone interview with the Times Virginian, Major Robbie Richardson estimates that at least five or six vehicles were broken into, and said that two firearms and other items were stolen, along with windows being smashed.
The Appomattox County Sheriff's Office reminds people to lock the doors to their vehicles and do not leave valuable personal items inside.
The incidents are under investigation. If anyone has information regarding these incidents, they are asked to call the Appomattox County Sheriff's Office at 434-352-2666.
