Shortly before 6 p.m. today, a one-vehicle accident delayed traffic in the area of 3337 Oakville Road in Appomattox.

A black two-door Pontiac G6 skidded off the southbound lane and ended up in a ditch against a tree.

The driver of the car, an unidentified male, was uninjured and was wearing a seatbelt. The Appomattox County Rescue Squad was at the scene.

Virginia State Police did not provide any additional information.

Also at the scene was the Appomattox Volunteer Fire Department to provide traffic control.
