Concord woman
sentenced for
assaulting fiancée
Casey Jean Best, of Concord, was sentenced to serve one year after pleading guilty to two felonies and one misdemeanor involving an incident with her fiancée Nov. 29, 2021.
The yearlong sentence was applied to a felony hit and run charge, along with nine years suspended time. The other charges, felony malicious wounding and misdemeanor assault on a family member, brought an additional total of six years suspended time.
All 15 years of suspended time comes with an obligation of 10 years of good behavior and two years of supervised probation.
