Each year, the Historic Appomattox Railroad Festival attracts numerous vendors looking to display and sell their wares to attending customers. Vendors come with a wide variety of products from artwork, wood carvings, shirts, household decor, and more.
At this year’s festival, Barry and Melanie Cowart of Rustburg offered a unique array of carnivorous plants, along with their homemade wood and art crafts, which include custom-sized cutting boards and entrance tables.
The Cowarts work out of their home to grow the plants and create their crafts but are not established as an official business entity. However, they, like many other artisans and craft workers, seek opportunities to share what they love with others.
The carnivorous plants offered by the Cowarts are venus fly traps, white and yellow pitchers, and trumpet pitchers.
