Smith ‘all smiles’ with team trophy

Appomattox Raiders football head coach Doug Smith proudly holds the team’s VHSL Class 2 Football State Championship trophy Saturday, May 8th, at his home in Forest. The Raiders traveled to Smith’s home following their Victory Parade in Downtown Appomattox. Smith was unable to be on the sidelines this year as he is undergoing treatment for multiple myeloma.
