Raiders volleyball tops Nelson County, Altavista

The Appomattox Raiders volleyball team hosted Nelson County on Thursday Oct. 12. Appomattox won in in three sets: 25 to 9, 25 to 13, and 25 to 11.

With the win, Appomattox was one win away from securing the Dogwood District championship for 2023 as of press time. The Raiders traveled to Chatham on Tuesday night. Results will be in next week’s Times Virginian.

The Appomattox Raiders got a road win Oct. 10 at Altavista in four sets: 25 to 21, 19 to 25, 25 to 17, and 25 to 22.

Appomattox travels plays to play district opponent Chatham tonight at 7:30 p.m.

On Thursday, Oct. 19 the Raiders will play the William Campbell Generals at 5:30 p.m. (JV) and 7 p.m. (Varsity). It will also be varsity Senior Night.
