The Appomattox Raiders softball team won two more games last week to extend their winning streak to 13 and improve to 13-1 overall (6-0 in the Dogwood District).

On April 24, the Raiders defeated Buckingham at home by the score of 8-1. On April 26, the Raiders won a 9-1 road game at William Campbell.

Appomattox traveled to Buckingham for a rematch Tuesday. The score will be updated in next week’s Times Virginian.

At William Campbell, Kenadee McCullough led the offensive charge for Appomattox with three base hits and three RBI. Haleigh Tweedy swiped three bases. Bree Carrico pitched a complete game, striking out 18 batters. She allowed only one run on a homer by Shakia Braxton.
