Face Coverings: Consistent with the governor’s Executive Order 63, all customers and employees when entering, exiting, traveling through, and spending time inside the American Job Center (AJC), shall cover their mouth and nose with a face covering. Local Workforce Development Boards must consult with their respective Chief Elected Officials and partner organizations to form procedures to be followed consistent with this guidance and local policy guidelines. Exceptions that apply to this requirement are provided in Governor’s Executive Order 63.
Social Distancing: Virginia Career Works Centers shall establish policies and practices for physical distancing between staff and their co-workers and members of the public. Keep at least six feet of space between individuals and provide a minimum of six feet between tables. Limit occupancy to 50 percent of the lowest load of certificate of occupancy.
Alter workspaces to maintain social distancing by increasing distance between workstations as much as possible, limiting staff from using other staff’s workstations, moving or rearranging furniture as needed, and ensuring the ventilation and water systems are operating normally.
Signage: Provide clear communication and signage for physical distancing in areas where individuals may congregate, including, entrances, in waiting areas, and check-in lines. Provide signage that directs customers how to schedule appointments and gain access to a building. Provide signage that states employees should not come to work sick.
