The American Civil War Museum will offer free admission to any Virginia public K-12 school teacher or student and will continue to do so through June 2021, at ACWM Richmond and ACWM Appomattox.

Made possible by a generous contribution in support of history education, the Museum is pleased to provide educators and students the opportunity for continued learning about the American Civil War and the impact it has made on current society and culture.

Virginia public school classroom teachers are included in this opportunity for free admission and must provide their professional credentials at the ACWM Visitor’s desk for complimentary tickets. Students can attend even when not on a school-organized field trip and only need to verbally provide staff their current grade and school district, but do not need to provide further documentation.

For information on a visit and hours of operation, visit at acwm.org.
