Emily Wood Burke Daugherty, 76, formerly of Appomattox, residing in Greenville, N.C., passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019. She was the daughter of William Wood and Emily Harvey Burke.

She is survived by her sons, M. Burke Daugherty (Hiromi) of North Garden, VA, and William B. Daugherty (Allyson) of Greenville, N.C.; a grandson, William Cole Daugherty of Greenville, N.C.; brothers, Frank Leigh Burke (Nina) and William A. Burke (Becky); sister, Susan Burke Williams (Andy); and their extended families.

A private family graveside will be held at a later date.

She requested memorials be made to a charity of your choice.
