The Kickin’ Out Cancer Fundraiser Dance, an event designed to raise money for Relay for Life, was held Saturday, July 23, at the Appomattox Moose Lodge.

This is the first time the cancer fundraising event has been held since the COVID-19 pandemic began. The event has been held for the last five years but had to cancel the last two events due to the pandemic.

“Every year the event has grown, and we have earned more money each time,” said Appomattox Health and Rehabilitation Center Admissions Director Crystal Butler, who is a Relay for Life volunteer who helped organize the event.
