On Sunday, Feb. 4, Loose Shoe Too Brewery held their 3rd Annual Chili Contest. Each of the 14 chefs were competing to raise money for their charities as well as bragging rights. The chili came in many different styles and flavors, each worthy of having a bowl or two.
In the end, the judges determined that the winners were Marlys and John Hrubos. Their charity was Better Days Farmville, an organization that helps needy people in the area. John and Marlys Hrubos presented a check for $628.00 to Sarah and Robert Spears (owners of Better Days Farmville) and Derin Foor, owner of Loose Shoe Too Brewery.
“Many thanks to our judges,” Loose Shoe Too Brewery expressed. “Terry, Hope, Brenda and Randy did a fantastic job to determine who brought the winning chili. Also, thank you to all of the participants that took time out of their day to support such a worthy cause.”
