On Wednesday and Thursday last week, the Appomattox Raiders participated in the VHSL Class 1/2 Combined Indoor Track and Field Championship held at Liberty University. The event included over 500 participants.
The Appomattox girls team finished 18th overall, and the boys finished 32nd. One boy, Xavier Mosely, represented the Raiders.
Top performers for Appomattox were Taniya Booker, who placed 4th in Girls High Jump (4-10), Morgan Flamm and Lillian Allen, who placed 5th in the Girls Pole Vault (8-00), and Xavier Mosely, who placed 7th in Boys Triple Jump (41-05.25).
