The Town of Appomattox requests that citizens leave their trash carts out on Tuesday, July 28, to allow for a smoother transition to the new waste service provider.

The town has entered into a contract with County Waste.

In the transition from using Republic to now working with County Waste, town manager Gary Shanaberger offered some housekeeping notes to share with town citizens.

“Residents should have all of their carts out at the side of the road to be picked up and exchanged for County Waste carts,” said Shanaberger.
