Coyote swims at Buggs Island
- Leon Mettler/Contributed
Appomattox resident Marshall Hancock was crappie fishing recently at Buggs Island’s Kerr Lake when, while out on his boat, he saw what he first believed was a dog. Hancock intended to rescue the dog, but as he got closer he discovered that the animal was actually a coyote. On Hancock’s Facebook post, he said the coyote made it to the other side of the lake on its own. Hancock also commented, “I guess he was trying to catch that road runner.”
